Dog-friendly places in Elkhart?

Just moved here 3 months ago and Crime rate is something to consider -Elkhart sits at 1,257.6 per 100K. The median home value here is around $126,900, which is actually reasonable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Am I overthinking this?

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are surprisingly good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
