Is it worth buying in Emporia?

Military spouse here. Rent is about $1,060/month for a decent place. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I overthinking this? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Hey, I'm a 41-year-old writer and Rent is about $1,060/month for a decent place. With a population of 5,633, Emporia is a small town. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Looking forward to hearing from you all.
