Honest thoughts on life in Essex

Homes are going for about $253,500 on average. The unemployment rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What would you do? The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to Raleigh it's tough.

Public transit is improving here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.
