First post here. I work in legal and The unemployment rate is 2.1%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $45,550 in Eufaula. The median home value here is around $137,400, which is actually reasonable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Anyone in a similar situation? Thanks in advance! Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to Houston it's hit or miss.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.
I've been here 13 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is decent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've been here 8 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

Came here for family and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The food scene is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
