Freelancing from Eufaula -experience?

I'm a 36-year-old teacher and Median household income is $45,550, which feels on the lower side for the area. Homes are going for about $137,400 on average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Am I overthinking this? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

I work in government here and I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market for my field is underrated. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
