Things Eufaula needs to improve

Been living here since 2023. It's a a small town city with about 12,664 people. The median home value here is around $137,400, which is actually reasonable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I wrong here? Thanks! Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Austin about 5 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are wild, gas is decent.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
