Biggest downsides of living in Eureka?

Anyone else feel this way? Rent is about $680/month for a decent place. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Anyone in a similar situation? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's not perfect but it works for me. The only thing I'd watch out for is community vibe. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..
