Hey folks, Military spouse here. Median household income is $95,766, which feels pretty solid for the area. You can expect to pay around $1,698 for rent here. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Would love some local perspective. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in West area are challenging. Kids love it here.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's not perfect but it works for me. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.
I've been here 2 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is improving.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
