Fair Oaks vs Omaha -which is better?

Hey everyone, I'm retired and With a population of 10,392, Fair Oaks is a small town. You can expect to pay around $1,209 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 10,392 people. The median home value here is around $198,400, which is actually reasonable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Pros:
- Nice parks and trails
- Low taxes
- Active local events

Cons:
- Hot summers
- Cold winters
- Not very walkable
- Limited dining options
- Poor road conditions
Am I overthinking this? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development.
