What's it really like living in Fairmount?

First post here. I'm a 43-year-old project manager and It's a a small town city with about 9,998 people. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Has anyone dealt with this? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.
