Random thought, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Poverty rate is 1.7%, which is pretty low. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Let me know your thoughts. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.
I've been here 9 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is underrated.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is improving.
