Not sure if this has been asked before, but I work in energy and It's a a small town city with about 10,902 people. With a population of 10,902, Fife is a small town. Median household income is $90,515, which feels pretty solid for the area. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
Pros:
- Low crime in most areas
- Good schools
- Easy commute
- Plenty of shopping options
Cons:
- Limited public transit
- High property taxes
- Limited cultural events
The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development.
