My partner and I are It's a a small town city with about 10,902 people. Household incomes average around $90,515 in Fife. The unemployment rate is 4.0%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 7.8%, which is pretty low. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Has anyone dealt with this? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The safety is excellent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've lived in Midtown for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Affordable housing options
- The community vibe scene is tough
The downsides:
- Limited shopping options
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want healthcare, then yeah this place is great. But if safety matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Sunset for 6 years. Moved from Austin for a fresh start. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is improving. We bought in 2021 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.
**Employment:**
hospitality is strong here. hospitality is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are established for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
it's exactly what I was looking for. The outdoor scene is excellent - we have state parks within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Sunset schools are average. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Traffic during rush hour is rough. Winters are long and cold. And weather can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 8/10. Give it a chance - it might surprise you.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
