Moving to Fircrest for work -advice?

Been meaning to ask this. I'm a teacher here and Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. With a population of 7,082, Fircrest is a small town. Biggest downsides of living in Fircrest?

First post here. Been living here since 2009. Poverty rate is 2.1%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $554,600 on average. The suburbs are where most families end up. Worth the trade-offs? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
