Hi all, The unemployment rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Let me know your thoughts. Cheers. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Bought a house here in 2016 and I have mixed feelings honestly. Property values have gone about the same since then.

I've lived in West for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Decent public transit for the size
- The outdoor recreation scene is decent
The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Road conditions need improvement
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for young professionals. No regrets on my end..

As someone who grew up here, the quality of life is solid. A lot has changed in the past few years though. community vibe used to be much developing but now it's hit or miss.
