Franklin Lakes is underrated, change my mind

OK so I work in education and Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Appreciate any input. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Seattle about 5 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are manageable, gas is excellent.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
