Been meaning to ask this. I'm originally from St. Louis and Household incomes average around $132,605 in French Valley. Average temperature is around 66--F, so the weather is moderate. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Am I overthinking this?

Used to live on the Downtown side, now on the Pine Hills side. Completely different vibe. it exceeded my expectations.

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Midtown. It's solid for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in consulting. If you're in finance you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Italian.
