Hello, Been living here since 2021. Thoughts? The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to Miami it's underrated.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Highland. It's surprisingly good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in construction. If you're in real estate you might struggle.
People: Generally challenging. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Indian.
Hope this helps!.

The food scene here is average. Tons of great Mediterranean places. it's exactly what I was looking for.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I love the pace of life here. Internet is average in most areas.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value school system, you'll love it. The school system is genuinely decent and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (Greenfield) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Salt Lake City, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've been living here for 3 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The healthcare is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. No regrets on my end..

Bought a house here in 2020 and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Property values have gone down slightly since then.
