Most overrated things about Girard

Alright, My partner and I are Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. Crime rate is something to consider -Girard sits at 290.6 per 100K. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Am I wrong here? The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is healthcare. I have mixed feelings honestly. Worth doing your research before committing.

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in West area are tough. Kids love it here.

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good internet infrastructure
- The nightlife scene is tough

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited high-paying job options

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for singles. Hope this helps!.

I've lived in Old Town for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Strong job market in several industries
- The cultural scene scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in West. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in tech. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
