Is Glennville a good place to live?

Longtime lurker here, I relocated for work and Homes are going for about $179,000 on average. The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $626/month for a decent place. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Pros:
- Close to nature
- Plenty of shopping options
- Active local events

Cons:
- Rising rent prices
- Lack of diversity
- Limited cultural events
What neighborhoods would you suggest? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. As someone who grew up here, it's been a really good experience overall. A lot has changed in the past few years though. job market used to be much developing but now it's solid.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 6 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..
