Worst things about Glens Falls North nobody talks about

The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Appreciate any input.

I've been living here for 3 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The cultural scene is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Bought a house here in 2016 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value traffic, you'll love it. The nightlife is genuinely decent and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (Westside) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Diego, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Eastside. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in retail. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 9 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
