Anyone regret moving to Glens Falls?

Curious what people think. Just moved here 2 months ago and Median household income is $70,089, which feels about average for the area. Household incomes average around $70,089 in Glens Falls. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 7 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Sunset. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in legal. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
