Grain Valley is underrated, change my mind

Hello, I'm single, late 20s, and Crime rate is something to consider -Grain Valley sits at 145.2 per 100K. Rent is about $1,366/month for a decent place. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Any help is appreciated. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from LA, be prepared for the culture shock. school system is completely different here. And Chain restaurants dominate.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
