Best areas to explore in Granbury?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but My family moved here when I was a kid. Poverty rate is 7.0%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Granbury sits at 241.8 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,387 for rent here. Rent is about $1,387/month for a decent place. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

I've lived in East for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The traffic scene is solid

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've lived in Highland for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good airport with direct flights
- The pet-friendliness scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Downtown for 11 years. Moved from San Diego for family. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is better than expected. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.

**Employment:**
retail is strong here. manufacturing is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are wild for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's not perfect but it works for me. The outdoor scene is underrated - we have hiking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Downtown schools are pretty good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Winters are long and cold. Chain restaurants dominate. And housing market can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 8/10. It's not for everyone but it works for us.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Chicago about 6 years ago. The main reasons were work and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are established, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
