Life in Grandview as a young professional

I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Household incomes average around $59,875 in Grandview. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. Rent is about $1,058/month for a decent place. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Low crime in most areas
- Close to nature
- Plenty of shopping options
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Cold winters
- Far from major airports
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Not enough green space
The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
