Anyone work in healthcare in Granite Bay?

Hello, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Poverty rate is 4.3%, which is pretty low. With a population of 21,378, Granite Bay is a small town. You can expect to pay around $2,609 for rent here. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What are your go-to spots? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Active local events and festivals
- The outdoor recreation scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Nightlife is limited

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
