Job hunting in Grayson Valley -tips?

Hey everyone, I'm retired and Median household income is $60,354, which feels about average for the area. Homes are going for about $128,800 on average. Household incomes average around $60,354 in Grayson Valley. The unemployment rate is 4.4%, which is about average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What do you all think? Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Minneapolis about 11 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Four distinct seasons
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are growing, gas is improving.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Definitely worth checking out..

Weather-wise, the summers are average and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.
