First post here. We're a young couple and Poverty rate is 11.8%, which is around average. With a population of 14,596, Great Bend is a small town. Household incomes average around $53,323 in Great Bend. The weather takes some getting used to. Does this match your experience? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
