Life in Gwinn as a young professional

Hey everyone, I'm a college student here and It's a a small town city with about 1,268 people. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from San Diego about 3 years ago. The main reasons were weather and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Close to major attractions
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are affordable, gas is underrated.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Good luck with whatever you decide..
