Day-to-day life in Half Moon Bay, CA

I'm a 45-year-old physical therapist and Crime rate is something to consider -Half Moon Bay sits at 8.8 per 100K. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Thoughts? Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Bought a house here in 2019 and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's not perfect but it works for me. Happy to answer more specific questions..
