Affordable areas near Happy Valley?

Been meaning to ask this. Rent is about $2,025/month for a decent place. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Thoughts? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 9 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Internet is better than expected in most areas.
