How are the schools in Hartford?

Random thought, I'm single, late 40s, and Rent is about $1,221/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 6.7%, which is concerning. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. What are your go-to spots? Thanks in advance! People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in Fairview area are excellent. Kids love it here.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want walkability, then yeah this place is great. But if housing market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Weather-wise, the summers are improving and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.
