Working remotely from Hartford — my experience

I've been working remotely from Hartford for 3 years now. Here's my take:

The pace of life here is perfect for remote work. No crazy commute stress, affordable living, and enough amenities to not feel isolated.

Cost of living: pretty reasonable
Internet: Could be better but workable with a good provider
Coworking spaces: Limited but the library works in a pinch

If you're looking for a place to WFH, Hartford is worth considering.

Been here 20 years. The city has changed a lot but overall for the better.

The job market has been improving lately. Several education companies moved in recently.

I've lived in University District for 11 years and it's decent, has its pros and cons.

If you can afford it, Downtown is the best place to live. Period.

Traffic is the worst part honestly. But if you live near work it's fine.

Don't sleep on Midtown. It's up and coming and still affordable.
