Housing market in Hemet right now

Random thought, Crime rate is something to consider -Hemet sits at 398.5 per 100K. Average temperature is around 63--F, so the weather is moderate. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to San Diego it's surprisingly good.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to San Francisco it's improving.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cost of living, you'll love it. The safety is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (West) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Chicago, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Not a lot of cultural diversity.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Phoenix about 11 years ago. The main reasons were school and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Affordable housing options
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are established, gas is underrated.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Hope this helps!.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value safety, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely excellent and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. My neighborhood (Fairview) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want nightlife, then yeah this place is great. But if dating scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in East area are pretty good. Kids love it here.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 5 years here, that's my honest assessment.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are challenging, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Came here for cost of living and stayed because it was the best decision I ever made. The housing market is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Cedar Grove for 5 years. Moved from Minneapolis for work. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is pretty good. We bought in 2020 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable.

**Employment:**
marketing is strong here. healthcare is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are manageable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's exactly what I was looking for. The outdoor scene is better than expected - we have state parks within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Cedar Grove schools are underrated. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Nightlife is limited. Chain restaurants dominate. And healthcare can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 6/10. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
