Job hunting in Hemet -tips?

Longtime lurker here, I grew up here but left for a while. Homes are going for about $314,200 on average. Poverty rate is 12.8%, which is around average. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. Any advice would be great. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Four distinct seasons
- The nightlife scene is solid

The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Hope this helps!.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Seattle about 7 years ago. The main reasons were work and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Close to major attractions
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are growing, gas is tough.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Hope this helps!.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Eastside. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in marketing. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

No regrets on my end..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in The Heights. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in construction. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Southern.

Hope this helps!.
