Planning a move to Hemet -neighborhoods?

Hello, I've been here for 15 years and Household incomes average around $53,623 in Hemet. Median household income is $53,623, which feels on the lower side for the area. Average temperature is around 63--F, so the weather is moderate. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Should I be concerned? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 11 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Bought a house here in 2023 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

I've lived in Westside for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good healthcare facilities
- The safety scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Urban sprawl is real

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. Happy to answer more specific questions..
