Is Hernando good for remote workers?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a college student here and It's a a small town city with about 8,795 people. The median home value here is around $189,200, which is actually reasonable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Am I overthinking this? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Bought a house here in 2024 and I have mixed feelings honestly. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

As someone who grew up here, I love the pace of life here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. healthcare used to be much reasonable but now it's better than expected.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 10 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..
