Hillsborough job market vs Los Angeles

Been meaning to ask this. My partner and I are The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $430,100 on average. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Has anyone dealt with this?
