Life in Hillsborough as a young professional

Homes are going for about $430,100 on average. The median home value here is around $430,100, which is pretty steep. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What do you all think? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.
