What to expect moving to Hood River?

I grew up here but left for a while. With a population of 8,360, Hood River is a small town. Poverty rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Any help is appreciated.

Worst things about Hood River nobody talks about

OK so Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Any help is appreciated. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.
