Is Hooper still affordable?

Just moved here 13 months ago and Homes are going for about $548,800 on average. It's a a small town city with about 9,220 people. The suburbs are where most families end up. What are your go-to spots? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid....
