Bought a house here in 2018 and I have mixed feelings honestly. Property values have gone about the same since then.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Tampa about 12 years ago. The main reasons were weather and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are affordable, gas is underrated.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
