Cost of living reality check -Hudson

OK so Just moved here 14 months ago and The unemployment rate is 1.7%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $49,063, which feels on the lower side for the area. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. Any help is appreciated.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 1 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

Public transit is pretty good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it was the best decision I ever made.
