How are the schools in Indianapolis?

Average temperature is around 55°F, so the weather is moderate. The median home value here is around $207,000, which is actually reasonable. Rent is about $1,112/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $207,000 on average. Median household income is $62,995, which feels about average for the area. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 13 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..
