Jennings is underrated, change my mind

Median household income is $37,356, which feels on the lower side for the area. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. Has anyone dealt with this? Any help is appreciated. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Uptown for 14 years. Moved from Dallas for retirement. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is underrated. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.

**Employment:**
government is strong here. healthcare is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are developing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I'm still on the fence after all this time. The outdoor scene is pretty good - we have mountains within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Uptown schools are challenging. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Property taxes are high. Limited entertainment options. And nightlife can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 9/10. Definitely worth checking out.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cultural scene, then yeah this place is great. But if dating scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are pretty good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Used to live on the Highland side, now on the Eastside side. Completely different vibe. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

Came here for weather and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The pet-friendliness is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 12 years here, that's my honest assessment.

As someone who grew up here, it's been a really good experience overall. A lot has changed in the past few years though. weather used to be much developing but now it's decent.

Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

I've been in Pine Hills for 5 years. Moved from Pittsburgh for retirement. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is challenging. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. The market is competitive but not impossible.

**Employment:**
healthcare is strong here. construction is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are wild for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's not perfect but it works for me. The outdoor scene is excellent - we have state parks within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Pine Hills schools are challenging. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Rising rent and home prices. Limited high-paying job options. And dating scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 5/10. Would recommend to anyone considering it.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
