Is Jersey City good for remote workers?

Hey folks, I'm a college student here and Rent is about $1,902/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $534,500, which is pretty steep. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cheers. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from New York about 3 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of new development happening

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are wild, gas is improving.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 13 years here, that's my honest assessment.
