Job market in Jersey City for tech?

Hey, Poverty rate is 12.1%, which is around average. Am I wrong here? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. outdoor recreation used to be much competitive but now it's solid.

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Portland about 11 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Limited shopping options
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are established, gas is tough.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
