I work in healthcare here and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market for my field is underrated. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Chicago about 6 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Limited entertainment options
- Far from beaches/mountains
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are competitive, gas is pretty good.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
