Remote worker thinking about Jonesboro

Hey folks, Poverty rate is 16.1%, which is higher than I expected. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Would love some local perspective. TIA!

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is pet-friendliness. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I love the pace of life here. Internet is tough in most areas.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Fairview. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in consulting. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Indian.
