Is Kelso walkable?

OK so We're a young couple and Household incomes average around $59,462 in Kelso. You can expect to pay around $1,131 for rent here. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. What do you all think? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Houston about 10 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good internet infrastructure
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are developing, gas is underrated.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
